ADOC are delighted to welcome Black Drain Drainage Board.
Today (April 1st 2020) we welcome Black Drain Drainage Board as the 5th member of the Aire, Don and Ouse Consortium of Drainage Boards (ADOC). This move forms part of a larger re-organisation of Internal Drainage Boards administration in the Yorkshire region.
Yorkshire and Humber Drainage Boards (YHDB) is a management group led by the Ouse and Humber Drainage Board, together we provide management and technical services for 8 Internal Drainage Boards in the region, including the ADOC Boards. The YHDB management group manage IDBs from Scarborough to Stainforth, over a vast area of our county, managing water levels in some of ‘the most at flood risk areas’ in the region and the country.
YHDB is managed by a public authority, for public authorities by public authority staff. No profit is made, and by working together savings can be better directed into delivering our services.
Today YHDB is also proud to welcome the Danvm Drainage Commissioners. Danvm is the second largest IDB in the region draining large area of land in North, East, West and South Yorkshire.
